It was time to upgrade my tablet this year, so I got a chromebook through our phone plan. Now that I have something nice, portable, and that includes a stylus, one of my goals is to learn more about working digitally this year.
I am having a lot of fun doing this so far, but I could never quite wrap my head around how to use layers in an art program. So, I asked for help. My oldest child is an amazing digital artist, and lucky for me, a kind and patient enough person to sit with me and walk through the steps of how to create layers, how to use them, and then how to merge them all together. (When I am learning something new, I need to be shown how to do it, but then I also need to physically go through all of the steps myself, or it will not stick in my brain.) It kind of feels like a whole new door in creating artwork digitally opened up for me once I understood this tool. So remember to ask for help! |
